Warwick joins the Santander Universities network
On Thursday 20 November 2008, the Vice Chancellor will sign an agreement with António Horta-Osório, Chief Executive Officer of Abbey National plc, which will see Warwick join the Santander Universities network. Under the agreement, Santander Universities will provide £75,000 each year for three years to fund postgraduate scholarships, a research grant fund, Visiting Fellows in the Institute of Advanced Study and community projects.

At the Royal Statistical Society's annual conference on 3 September, Professor Gareth Roberts was awarded the Guy Medal in Silver for 2008 (to add to the Guy Medal in Bronze that he won in 1997).
